Literature: Bloor Book Success

Go Swift and Far, the locally written and produced novel all about Bath, has already been reprinted following strong sales.

The book, which features real life Bath characters and is written by Gordon Bloor (under the pseudonym Douglas Westcott) is a coming-of-age tale set in the aftermath of the bombings of World War Two.

‘I’m thrilled that so many Bathonians have taken it to their heart,’ says the 71-year-old. ‘We’ve deliberately delayed Amazon sales until February, to allow a clear run for the great Bath outlets supporting us,’ he added. ‘At Bath Christmas market we sold 600 books in six days: that’s one bok every five minutes!’
